The beginnings

TCS (NZ) Ltd was founded by Peter Tait in 1987. TCS started out in Systems Integration and became an industrial automation company, developing advanced process control, communications protocols and traceability solutions for New Zealand and global industries. It now specialises in leading-edge microprocessor development and distributed control technologies.

Challenge accepted

In 2008 Peter and Jain Tait looked at building their new home. With his knowledge of industrial automation, Peter went on a quest to find the latest technologies available in energy efficiency and home automation, only to discover that the technology on offer was outdated, expensive, and not focused on energy savings. Disappointed by these findings they decided to develop their own energy efficient home that was reliable, holistic and not controlled by a central hub with all the cabling and expensive intricacies of the then present home automation offerings. Their home technology uses the wealth of knowledge, design, development and manufacture that TCS has pioneered.

Ata Touch, the solution

So began Ata Touch, the holistic solution – with its unprecedented energy savings and automation integration to a vast array of home activities. The key focus is on energy management and power savings but Ata Touch is also keenly attentive to ease of use, simplicity of installation and a really good return on investment costs. Ata Touch is specifically designed to be a scalable and expandable set of home solutions that can be tailored to meet a broad range of lifestyles, budgets, and desires.
